Founded in 2008 by EIR Suren Markosian, as a Facebook games company, Crowdstar built Happy Aquarium and Happy Pets enjoyed by tens of millions of users, before focusing on mobile games and building the hugely successful Covet Fashion and Design Home franchises. Crowdstar raised over $25M from Time Warner and Intel Capital, and was acquired by Glu Mobile (Ticker: GLU) in 2016.

Founded in 2008 by EIRs Jason Citron and Danielle Cassley, Openfeint aka Aurora Feint, was the first AAA quality game for the iPhone. Ultimately it evolved into a social gaming platform for other game developers building games on Apple and Android mobile devices. It includes features like leaderboards, achievements and chat, and amassed over 40,000 developers and 100M users. Openfeint raised over $10M from investors including Intel Capital, and was acquired by GREE, a publicly listed  Japanese company, in 2011 for over $100M.

Founded in 2011 by EIRs Rajat Gupta and Rohan Relan, Agawi was focused on the hard problem of streaming  games from the cloud, from a low latency interactive platform. Agawi raised over $3M from investors including Streamlline Ventures, and was acquired by Google in 2015.

Founded in 2008 by EIR Ben Savage, Sibblingz built a wildly popular Facebook application, and then pivoted to solve the hard problem of cross platform development of applications in HTML5.. It's flagship technology was called Spaceport.io. After raising over $3M,  Facebook acquired Sibblingz in 2013.

Founded by EIR Luis Sampredo Diaz in 2011, Pluto plays Piano was awarded the best music teaching application, and became a popular way for children to learn how to play the piano. Acquired by Age of Learning.

Founded by Suren Markosian, a repeat entrepreneur at YouWeb, Epic! has become the de facto reading library for kids on mobile devices and tablets. Epic! is used in a large number of US elementary schools by teachers. It has raised multiple rounds of funding, most recently by Battery Ventures and has been subsequently acquired by Byju's.

Founded by EIR Gaurav Chawla in 2014, the company produces a chai tea latte brewer and chai pods for making personalized chai tea lattes. Aiming to be the "Nespresso of chai tea latte". Over a thousand brewers have been shipped to consumers and businesses., and the company has raised over $2M.

A hugely successful platform for voice, video and chat messaging, or "Your place to talk", Discord was founded in 2012 by repeat entrepreneur Jason Citron. Today it has over 300M users and has raised over $300M, and was most recently valued at $15B.

Founded by ex Tencent executive Brad Bao, Lime was a bike sharing company that pivoted to general purpose, last mile mobility including scooters and bikes. In 2020, Uber took a major stake in Lime. Lime was backed by Andreesson Horowitz, and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars in order to launch operations in over 125 cities.

Founded by  Matthew Boehm, PrefTech is focused on automation of operating room surgery equipment preference cards, used by doctors and surgeons, to eliminate costly errors that are not discovered until the last minute. As an earlier state pre-seed company, it has raised approximately $1M.

Founded by EIR Hung Tran, Got It created the first on-demand platform for educational help using AI, and today serves over 250 colleges  GotIt! has raised over $20M from investors such as Intel Capital, Fosun Capital and Capricorn Investment Group (also  investors  in Tesla and SpaceX).
